The company was founded in 1969 in LAVENHAM, a small and beautiful village in SUFFOLK, northeast of London, and the company was named after the village. The founder, Mrs.Elliot, was a lady-in-waiting to Queen Elizabeth, and one day she came up with the idea of using quilted fabric to make hoses and blankets for the Queen to ride on. The nylon and quilted hoses and blankets invented by Mrs.Elliot from jute linen, which has poor heat retention and gets wet easily, spread throughout the UK and established a position in the horse riding equipment industry. Later, nylon, quilted, and jackets were released at the request of horseback riding enthusiasts, and they were a pioneer in incorporating the concept of high fashion and high quality into horseback training and clothing.
